It's the wiring. Check for continuity from the connector back to pin D3 at the ecu connector.

Have you verified the timing is correct?
Use a stethoscope, or large screwdriver, or broom stick and place it against the block and the other end against the side of your head near your ear. Do you hear any knocking or other noises?

If you're sure the wiring it correct and the knock sensor is good then the next thing would be a substitute ecu if you can find one.

they are sending me out another sensor in case this 1 is defective and if that doesnt fix the issue then ecu will be inspected for any burnt marks and if that doesnt work then off to the service station

What is the exact diagnostic code that you are getting?

If wire is fine and sensor is good should start looking at your ignition timing and fuel. Check your spark plugs and see if any of them are really black or chalky white.

There are only three listed issues for that particular DTC.

• Short/open in knock sensor circuit
• Knock sensor
• ECU

Good luck! Hope it was just the sensor
