I know that 10an would be better. The question was if the 8an was sufficient enough. I have 8an fittings, flanges and tubing already laying around.
If you have anything but a cast manifold skip the hard line. It will most likely fail prematurely.
Go with a braided -10an.
If there is any flex the AN flare will rip on a hard line. If its a tubular manifold it will flex. Cast you are all good. At least now I have an AN flare tool

your question was vague anyways. can you define "sufficient enough"? yeah it will drain oil out of your turbo but how long until you come back on with a "why is my turbo smoking" thread. just run -10 like 99.9% of turbo honda's

lol, you know the proper size but come on and ask if you can use something smaller. sounds like you've already made up you're mind before posting

Honestly go bigger if u can its not worth the risk of smoking or whatever.
I've run that half inch on a sohc setup no smoke, but also tried it on a 2L vtec and it did smoke. I eventually changed to a 5/8 and it noticeably cut down on smoking
