Default Will the .63 ar turbine housing limit my power goals?

Wassup guys? Purchased my GT3540S from Mac on here not to long ago and its one hell a turbo! Planning on purchasing either GSC T1 cams or custom cams from DDTech.. I initially wanted a badass street/strip LSVtec, but Im now leaning more to strip than street. Mid to low 10's.. Looking into Borg Warner 300sx FMW.. Should i stay with my GT3540S, or will the .63 ar limit me? How well it affect my back pressure?

You havent posted any tangible goal, hp wise. I made 607whp with Mac's Reaper .63 and ran a 10.17 with my heavy *** car. I guess u wont know till u try it. Its not as looking into a crystal ball and coming to a conclusion.

What gas will you run and is this a stock sleeve motor or sleeved? I have a 9:1 ls/vtec stock sleeved motor running the exact same turbo with the .63 a/r and ITR cams I will share my thoughts once I get more info on your set-up...

I already have 9.0:1 84mm CP Pistons, Crower H Beam rods and a full farrea valvetrain. The engine is going to be sleeved by erl. I do plan on running on C16. Exhaust manifold is a twin scroll top mount from full race. Not sure on the cams yet.. Power wise? I think mid 600's should suffice for my et goals.

Mac is a smart guy and has lots of dyno numbers for his turbos. I'm sure he could tell you the exact limitation of the housing if you talk to him

When i bought my GT3255b from him a few years back, he told me the approximate numbers I would make on the dyno at a given pressure (knowing my setup). He wasn't far off of the real numbers after I brought the car to the dyno...the margin really could have been down to the correction factor, air temperature, * of timing, etc...he's pretty spot on for the most part

I think that Turbo will do fine... You may see higher AIT Temps. If setup right you'll see 10's!

Twin scroll manifold wont help on a nondivided turbo....

The turbo is capable of 600-650 whp with the .63 a/r on your motor, I would keep the .63 if you plain on driving on the street you wont regret it the gain in response over the .82 is worth the slight increase in power you would get with the gt3540s with the .82.

On pump gas 93, 81.5 ls/vtec with ITR cams I see 18psi at around 4500 rpms with my .63 a/r GT3540s!

Thanks for the info on your setup sleepencivic! 18psi at 4600rpm is bad ***.. Spoke to Mac and I'm going to stay put with the .63 and get those GSC T1 camshafts.
