Default The T3/T4 57 Trim Turbo Thread... or 50 or 60

The 57 trim is a very popular turbo i am very curious what kind of power people are making, i have it but not on my car just yet, .. i would love to hit 500whp however my 57 will not hit it.. but i would be happy with 425-450whp.. im trying to see what kind of power people are making with this turbo on pump gas .. i have 93 in my area.. and what is your engine set-up would be nice too.. mine is a b16 fully built head an block..

I had a fully built b16a with a full-race mani and t3/t04e 57 trim i dynoed a little over 400whp on a low reading dyno at 20psi of boost. I would have made more but i lost some power due to the cams i was running. it also made 310 for tq

b20/vtec 9.5:1cr, ported B16 head and blox type-a cams. 440whp+@16psi

im positive i can hit 500whp with that turbo but it's defiantly pushing it's limits and i don't want to risk it...

500 would be very brief, only the last hundred rpms, and you would need to keep timing down to do it because of so much heat.

The 57,60 "trims" can do up to about 430whp or so. Any dyno that says otherwise has been calibrated to read "high".

I'm sorry, but I'm extremely skeptical to remotely believe this

It didn't last long after we had a lean moment on a cold night. It might have even done a little damage before that because it had a lot of blowby.

470whp on Methanol @ 20 psi (derived from weight and trap speed) Super 57trim with stg 5 turbine wheel 0.63 1.8 LS/Vtec with Crower Turbo cams

450whp on pump gas sounds like a happy dyno !!

Why is this hard to believe?

I made 420whp on 18psi on a 81.5mm lsv on 93oct, but we had to stop there because i was having issues with it breaking up and couldnt figure it out. Which later on was found to be a crack in number 3 spark plug wire. I could have made 450whp easy.

Not sure if this will help since it's not a built block but here goes.

98 GSR Stock (w/ the exception of ARP head studs & a fresh OE headgasket)
57 trim, Tubular manifold (peakboost), 3" downpipe & exhaust, 550cc inj, walbro in-tank 255lbh, Neptune by Jeff Evans, stock map sensor

It made 350-360whp at 10psi, and we detuned it to 325whp/245wtq @ 9psi
Here is an OLD video from the tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCvGmEXcNnA

i hink he said that because it's on pump gas what pistons and ratio did you have at 420 on 18psi

i will add...my 440+whp dyno run was on 94oct pump gas (easily available around here) with a basic cooling mist water/meth injection system (50/50 mix) tuned on ectune. and it was tuned VERY conservative...ignition timing at the top end is @15deg or less.

Using a meth water injection system is very doable. I'm looking at simply the fact that this was done on 93 octane gas ONLY, with no supplementary fuel systems. that means its being read high on the dyno.

Please state the fuel that you used, as well as all supplementary fuel systems.

Right now im around the 370whp level on wastegate but im going back to turn it up hopefully in the next month or so, looking for a little over 450whp. All on 93 pump with single walbro and rc1000s.

The setup before where i made 420whp cracked a sleeve prematurely so i swapped everything over to a sleeved block(81.5mm)
