Default 1990 Civic Hatchback- Brake Light issue

Hi there,
So my right brake lights are out- completely. I went out and bought the lights and got ready to install them, but had a lot of trouble figuring out which light to replace. I turned on my headlights, and it appeared that what I thought were brake lights were also tail lights, and were working fine... at least as tail lights. When I hit the brakes, they don't come on, only on the right side. They are two filament bulbs- does it use one filament for each purpose? Or is there a connection issue? Or have I just not found which light is the brake light? Where should I look next? Any help would be appreciated.

-David

It's a dual filament globe, and only one filament has broken. Hence why the tail light is working, but your brake light is not.

Replace the bulb and it'll be fine.
