Icon2 problem wih ek 96-98 coupe fog lights

I installed a pair of Ek fogs and they work great while the bumper is on the ground and the wires atre pulled straight. But as soon as I put the bumper up to my car the fuse blows. I can't figure this **** out what is causing this fuse to blow. I tried covering up.all the wires but I haven't put electrical.tape around them yet just normal tape. Any ideas? I've searched but nothing with this specific problem? Any he'll much appriciated

A wire is touching causing it to short out and blow your fuse look for a naked wire either touching anything metal or another wire

Like would it need to be a bare wire or even one with the skin around it touching another with the skin around it? So should I just use electricaltape and tape each wire separately and completely?

Wrap the wires correctly. Ideally you want to sodder it.

If they were grounded wrong wouldn't it blow as soon as they turn on every time? They work fine until the bumper meets my core supporrt

please tell me you at least used crimp connectors and didn't just twist the wires together.

Could be moving the ground wire around as you put the bumper on, but more than likely it's a bare wire contacting somewhere. What kind of kit did you get?
