i have 1998 honda civic lx stock keeps blowing the coil insiide dizzy.... already changed wires plugs ecu distributor coil fuse box inside and outside car checked grounds..... please help if you help fix problem i would even paypal you some cash lbvs

 

Is the inner dust cover inside the distributor missing? Have you replace the igniter unit and checked that no wires are damaged?

 

yes, i have check and i bought 2 brand new Dizzys already

 

i have made surea ll wires are ok its all stock no mods at all bought 2 brand new dizzys changed ecu checked fuses everything i could think of or read on any form...

 

Does fuse 9 also blow?

Give some background. How did this problem start?

 

was driving car and then it just shut off!!! put on new dizzy drove for 2 days shut off again put another dizzy drove for 1 day and shut off again.... changed wires plugs ecu replaced coil blew in like 1 hour..

 

when you replace coil car runs perfect not a single problem runs like a dream a few hours later it will just lose all power.... change coil it will run fine!

 

Make sure the plug wires are fully seated on the distributor cap and on the spark plugs.

Another possibility is that the "new" plug wires are bad.

Any CEL codes?

 

cel?? confused as what that is very limited... um i had 2 different sets of wires on the car i still had same problem... one set is now on another ek....

it had misfire codes.... but it wasnt missing it was running perfect... i think it was old codes from when it was missing.. the first time i replace dizzy a wire in the new dizzy was bad causing it to miss i got another dizzy and everything was fine never reset codes....

 

Try cleaning and tightening the G3 transmission ground and G101 thermostat housing ground.

ok I changed main relay changed both fuse boxes new dizzy new cap new rotor new wires new ecu now I am checking grounds you told me about and then if its not the grounds were do i go from there? new wire harness?
