hello everyone, first of all sorry for my english..
i have a prelude vti-s '98 eudm with h22a5 engine and atts..
the engine consumes oil and throws white smoke..
i was on the dyno for remap few months ago and it showed only 155HP? (stock it has 185HP)
power and torque curve look very bad, after about 5200rpm something is going wrong, torque falls drastically.. why is it losing it? is it related with the block or the head?
if necessary i can upload the image..
now i decided to solve this problem and repair the engine but i have some dilemmas..
first of all, what are the differences between h22a5 with and without atts?
are the pistons, rings, bearings, etc. the same?
what parts should i search for? is this engine compatible with others? (h22a4)
maybe it will be necessary to replace everything in the block maybe only the rings, i don't know untill i open the engine..
what are your suggestions? where can i find some rebuild kits? (except ebay)
i'm from croatia and would order the parts from US..
