My mechanic told me that there's no power going to the car's alarm siren. I didn't get it fixed because he was going to charge $300 and I don't have the cash available.

Any recommendations on how I can fix this issue on my own?

Who installed it? Gives us an idea on how intensive (stealth?)

 

It's an aftermarket alarm system installed by the dealer when I bought it in '04. I don't have much information about it.

Go to an alarm place and get a second opinion. If it's really just the siren, it's an inexpensive fix.
