Gas tank cleaning sugestions????
Ok so my eg hatch sat for about 2 yrs during build palnning/ executing, guy who i picked shell up and left gas in it and needless to say it got nasty in worst way. Now i have dropped and used high pressure and cleaned and shop vac out tank 2 times but still have some junk showing up in pump sump area and clogging sock filter on my 255 pump. It is getting better but i need to do it again from looks of it. I need a 1 time solution to get all out once and for all.
The stuff showing up in bottom of tank after fresh gas and driving again(shop vac out nasty stuff before dropping) looks like lake bottom sedimant
Chemicals ( that can be had at normal places)
Methods-??
Other ideas??

Try some Seafoam and see if it's really all it's cracked up to be.
That or there is this stuff called AutoRX I've heard of that is supposed to be good for oil/fuel systems, gunk, etc.

Hmmm... Well then I would say that I recently had a similar issue with the coolant reservoir tank on this Integra LS I recently picked up. In that situation I used coffee grounds and a little bit of water, then shook the **** out of it and it came out clean since the coffee grounds act as an abrasive.
Obviously coffee probably isn't the best idea for a gas tank, but the idea is still the same. I've heard suggestions before such as throwing some old nuts and bolts in there with water and basically shaking the hell out of it to clean it. In this case, maybe also throw in a decent amount of carb cleaner or something similar as well?
