Anyone running Hondata on there PR3 computer. For some reason it wont let me select 3 bar map sensor or change vtec point or adjust rev limiter. Anyone have this problem or anyone know how to get past it?

 

You can adjust the rev limiter with the interface button that would attach to the s200 or the other stages of hondata.

 

As far as I know, the only way to use the 3 bar map with the pr3 is to use a rom that has it built in. I dont know if they provide the rom with RomEditor or if you have to get the bin from Hondata direct. I used to boost a pr3 and it's absolutely the worst thing. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to obd1 if you want to keep hondata. The 2 o2 sensors never worked right and there was always a hesitation for me on the obd0 setup. (cause of o2's) Even the openloop pr3 never worked smoothly.

You cannot use RomEditor to 'make' a pr3 with using 3 bar. They may have fixed this in RomEditor 3.0 but i didn't think they were supporting obd0 anymore.

 

hmm interesting. Well, its actually for my friends car, I do have Hondata on my car but its OBD1 and I love it. But I had heard from a few other people that Hondata was hobo on OBD0 computers.

 

You need to manually open (File -> Open) the h58 files. There are 4 of them in there. One is stock, one is stock + open loop only, one is the 3bar map, and one is 3 bar map + open loop only.

yeah you have to start the Rom with the file ho58m3 for closed loop and ho58m3ol for open loop. Then import the tables from the the rom you are currently using and save it as a different file.
