hondata doesnt recognize 3 bar map!!!!! help
the tuner said the hondata doesnt recognize the 3 bar map sensor..... i followed the hondata website and installed it according to it. the 3 bar map was working in my friend's car before taking it off to put in my car. i got the 3 bar map sensor pig tail from gm dealer and i had to cut the side of the plug a lil.... what can i do to make sure the 3 bar map sensor is working? this is a pr3 obd1 hondata 2b
you can't just put a 3 bar on. you have to have the system set for a 3 bar. Both the 3 bar and your stock 1.7 bar honda MAP run 0 to 5 volts. the ECU can't magicly tell what you have hooked to it.
you need to go to a tuning shoppe to have them convert the program in you Hondata to 3 bar, or do it yourself if you have the software.
Good luck

either they are retarded or you didnt hook it up right. Hondata does recognize the 3bar. many people on here have them working fine including myself
What do you mean "won't recognize"?
As in - no voltage - improperly wired or non-working sensor....
or improper voltage - again improperly wires, or inncorrect sensor.

one or the other im guessing.... what voltage should the map sensor be at? im gonna check it to make sure its hooked up right
