Default Does anyone know about Dizzys?

hi Ive done a b16a2 conversion on my EG now it wont start, worked before but ran really rough so turned it of and had a fiddle. then it wouldnt start got told it was the ignition coil so i bought a new won which had solved it for long enough to get to far to walk from home. so called my break down who had a look and said it was the dizzy cap and rotor to blame. so i have bought replacements but it still wont fire on all 4 only 2.
is there any way to find out for deffinate what has died and not just keep throwing money at it?
cheers Ash

Could be spark leads, If you can try and borrow a friends set and try it on your's, They sometime's give up, Is there any check lights on ?, May sound stupid but also check to see if the connectors for the tsp and map sensor are not mixed up.

I'm having a bit of an issue understanding everything you wrote. You just swapped the engine, and it has had issues starting and running ever since?

Check to make sure the TPS and MAP aren't switched around, for that matter make sure all plugs are connected.

Are all your grounds clean and tight? Especially the Q101 thermostat ground?

Is your timing correct? Firing order? correct ECU? Should be a P30

Double check everything, most people have some kind of issue with their car not running perfectly after a swap.

yer i've double checked everthing, had issues with the ground in the first place so bought a ground kit and it worked fine except it was running a bit rough.
I replaced the HT leads when i got the car there only cheap so tryed the old 1s made no difference except the spark was really weak spark.
I'm runnung a p30 ecu with a b16a2 map.
the only light im getting i the engine check light so have done the paper clip trick and its only showing electric load indicator.
cheers for any input its keeping my hopes up.

Make sure firing order is correct.
If firing order is correct than get new spark plugs and wires.

yer have checked that its all in the right way.
A friend said today that the rotor arm not being right could have piked the ecu what ever that means, what do you all think?
