Brake Warning light started flickering, now on steadily
I have a 96 accord. Last week the brake warning light started coming on and off while driving. I thought it was just a loose connection from the e-brake but now the light is staying on.
I checked the fluid level and it is a bit low, right about the min line.
Brakes all around are new, a few months old, but I am also feeling a pulsing when I brake. I can feel it in the pedal and even in the steering wheel. The pulsing was much stronger before the brakes were replaced - wapred rotors I assume. I was so happy to have that gone but now it is coming back.
So I guess my question is, what is causing the brake light to come on and could this be related to the pulsing?
I am going to add fluid since it's close to the min line.

I think you have two different issues:
- Your brake fluid is low; initially the light would only illuminate after a hard stop; as time went on and the fluid level got lower (a given as the fluid displaces the lost friction material of the disc brake pads), the light would illuminate with ever increasing frequency. Fill the reservior to the MAX line and the light should go out.
- The pulsing you feel in the brake pedal, through the steering wheel, and probably through the seat of your pants as well is either a warped rotor (or rotors), or a rotor (or rotors) which have been heated and cooled unevenly which creates differing levels of temper or hardness (which in turn causes uneven braking friction). When your brakes were "replaced", did the shop turn or grind your old rotors, or did they put new ones on? If the did use new rotors, did they use cheap Chinese slugs, or high quality Brembo or Honda rotors?
Not sure but I would guess cheap chinese parts. I doubt the garage went with honda parts. Bummer. I hate to live with the pulsing but too much $$$ tor replace again so soon
