Icon2 94 eg si front knuckle interchable with other generations?

I have a 94 Honda civic Si non abs, I need to remove the knuckle and replace it, I was wondering if it has to be a 92-95 ex/si knuckle or can I use 92-95 dx/lx or integra knuckles or 96-00 dx/cx/ex.... Anything?

There are two different knuckles for 92-95. The ex/si use a knuckle that allows for the 10.3" rotor and then there is a knuckle that only allows the 9.4" rotor that comes on vx/cx. I cant recall what the other models of eg's are equipped with. Integra knuckles will work for ex/si since it uses the larger 10.3 rotor. 96-00 knuckles are 1/2" shorter with a smaller camber curve. They also have the two different knuckles like the eg for the larger and smaller rotor. I have 99ex knuckles on my 94 vx with integra calipers. Even thought the ek knuckles are 1/2" shorter, they did not affect my ride height. I would recommend if you use knuckles off a 96-00 to get both to prevent any differences.

What year integra specifically would work for the 94 Honda Si non abs knuckle/hub replacement to match up with the stock Si caliper/rotor

90-93 use the same knuckle and caliper but the caliper bracket varies from the rest of integra brackets. That info is useless though as long as you are re using your brakes. Integra knuckles are all the same 90-01!!!

Unless you want to upgrade the front breaks and switch to a larger rotor your stuck with the 92-95 style that used the small rotors.

Sorry, I'm just trying to clarify its 90-93. Knuckle that will allow me yo use my old caliper/rotor and the mounting bracket? I'm trying to get out of having the wheel bearing replaced. It'd be cheaper from my brother to buy a whole knuckle assembly from his junkyard for like 30 compared to80-90 for getting yhe bearing replaced. Would you guys just recommend replacing the bearing or getting a used knuckle for cheaper. I tried finding a front wheel hub but all the rear ones show up ahen I look for it

Buying a new knuckle just for a wheel bearing is pretty stupid.

Why? Is it bent/damaged? You might not know until you get it into the car.
Not to mention, do you know long that wheel bearing will last? Nope. What about the hub being damaged?

rockauto, timkin bearings. I highly reccomend timkin bearings, if you can't afford OEM.

That is incorrect info. ex/si from 92-00 all had 10.3" rotors. He has a si so he already has the larger rotor!! The only possibility that a SI has smaller brakes would factor in with the non-abs. All the si's I have found were abs and had the larger rotor. I have done alot of research when I upgraded my knuckles and brakes and the only difference I found between the si non abs and the abs model was the MC and booster. Please correct me if I am wrong because I really don't want to spread incorrect info.

If you only need a bearing replace the bearing because you don't know if the knuckle's bearing from the junkyard will last 10 days or 10 years. New is always best

Find a local machine shop. Remove the knuckle yourself. Bring them the knuckle and bearing, and pay them to replace it. Shouldn't cost you more than $50. Most of the charge behind replacing wheel hub bearings is the book time for removing and reinstalling the knuckle.

The rotor change happened in 94-95, with ABS... The non ABS cars still kept the small rotor.

Granted my post isn't that clear, I should have worded it diferently.

Take a look at the first post, NON ABS.

That is a rip off. Every place I have been only charges 20ish for removal and the same for pressing back in. Are you contacting tire shops or machine shops?

'94 was the only year '92 - '95 Si's were offered with ABS and it was pretty rare even then. '92 - '93 Si hatchbacks all had the same small brakes the CX/DX/VX/LX had, '94 ABS had Integra style brakes, I'm not sure what '94 - '95 non ABS models had.

I think there was actually like 4 different sets used through the years on the 92-95 Civic/Del Sol, but essentially it boils down to 10.3" rotor or 9.4". I know there's a post somewhere where I looked up different part numbers.
I went to put some trim level Integra calipers and brackets (I think it was off an ABS equipped one) on my 1994 EX (non-abs) knuckles, both 10.3" rotor. The pads one the Integra calipers were just a little bit larger, and the slots for the pads were wider and a hair farther apart. I had Civic pads, so I used Civic brackets, but the calipers interchange fine and the rotors are the same part number.

Seriously its like four or five bolts to remove the knuckle, around $40 to get the old one pressed in and $50 for the part. Or you can take your chances and get a used knuckle that will probably end up the same way.

Yeah.. its Spendy where I'm from. But I can get a whole knuckle for 25$. So im just going to swap the knuckle out. I work at Oreilys and the dx and si take the same calipers and rotors so I would assume yhe knuckles are the same
