Cam Help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default Cam Help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok A guy gave me a set of brand new cams with my B16 Delsol(Stock B16). he said they were Stage 2 CROWER cams. So I put them in they all lined up and looked fine then put it in time. then I went to put the distributor slot on the cam isnt lining up with the distributor. what could they be then if the fit but that doesnt line up????

How did you time it without the distributor on?

I believe he was talking about mechanical timing. Turn the distributor key until it lines up with the cam then reset the ignition timing with a timing gun

sorry i mean the distributor wont go on the slot that turns the distributor

Yes. Take a pic of the can lobes and post it. Or just turn the key on the dizzy until it lines up. I don't get what's so hard

ok u line the dizzy tooth to fit and it seem the slot doesn't line up with the dizzy's tooth. i even took the valve corver off to check and it seem the tooth slot is off like 2 mm

Can you post a pic of the cam lobes and ill tell you if they are vtec cams.

ls cams won't fit in a vtec head guys... even if they did the slot for the distributor is the same size.

That's what I was kind of thinking. I thought he might of just got them to sit in there or something. I still don't get why the dizzy key wouldn't line up with the cam? Unless op is explaining it wrong or isn't turning the key to where it will line up

no u hit it right on the nose. im not at home rtight now so i cant take pics atm

no it just not lining up i donno the cams sit in and seat just fine but the key slot is wrong
