Grease coming from new CV axle

I recently installed two new CV axles, the driver's side has slung green/blue grease around quite a bit. The boot is fine, could this have been because the boot was overstuffed with grease?

Your boot fasteners may be loose. Even if you overfilled it with grease, it would have thrown grease from the vent hole.

Did you fill the boot yourself?

Negative, they were filled when I bought them.

Well, either way, they're under a lifetime warranty, so if they go out again I'll just remove and replace for free.
