i recently bought a eg hatch with a kswap and was looking inside for the wiring for a stereo and it didnt have anything at all.. not even the speaker wires
can a stereo shop make something work for me? or do i need the factory harness?

any stereo shop should be able to make it work for you. but it would be a lot easier and cheaper to do it yourself .
all you would need is a
-power wire to your battery
-accessory wire to your fuse box
-ground
and just wire the speakers yourself

it is very possible to do yourself and upgrading your factory speaker wire, especially in the mid 90's or any older hondas is a good idea and makes a noticeable difference in sound quality, good luck!
A stereo shop can probably find the harness/wires behind the dash. It's not hard to make yourself a new harness. You will need a Metra plug #71-1720 and#70-1721 "Honda Plugs" a spool of 16 awg speaker wire 16 awg inline fuses and some primary power wire. I can post up what wire to connect to if you need it.
