Default JRSC at 9 psi

What do you guys think about me putting 9 psi on my 00 prelude. I have hondata and im getting it tuned next month. Do you think my setup will hold together? This is off a jackson racing supercharger.

Stock internals, that motor won't be in the best condition...

i'm going to tune it at the same time i install the pulley. I'm at 6 psi now. I was told by my mechanic that it should be fine.

you may want to find another mechanic.

h22 pistons are weak. you will blow your ring lands in a relatively short amount of time on 9psi of boost, no matter how carefully you tune it.

Like Schwett said it is only a matter of time. I say get the Hondata tuned and be happy with 6psi for a while and save up for a rebuild. If you really want to get the upgraded pulley be prepared to nuke the engine and also buy a J&S safeguard.

we're running 9 PSI off of a turbonetics T3/4, and even spraying a Nitrous Express intercooler fogger dropping the car into the 12's (no nitrous is going into the engine).. haven't had a problem. It's been street driven and raced pretty much every friday night for the past.. too many months and miles, without a problem. Even have the unorthodox pullie set on, and the engine has around 75,000 to 80,000 miles. All stock internals (though we're gonna get a JDM block over winter to build up so we can boost some more). the only issue we've had is comming back from the track on some nights.. we have to cross a mountain and the air up top gets too thin, and if you step on it to get it going, you run wayyyy to rich and plumes of black smoke come out and the car struggles lol
