Default Questions about oil pan, b1tch pin, and rack and pinion

First off i need to make sure i ll put the Honda bond for the oil pan on the right spot.
This is the diagram from the honda manual:

I marked in red where i thought the manual pointed to the honda bond going:

is this the right spot? (meaning inside the bolts towards the oil and not towards the outside of the oil pan, also how far up the "curve" of the pan would i need to go?)
also, the honda bond only goes on the oil pan to gasket side, not the gasket to engine block side?

and my question about the rack and pinon is this.. Do i have to remove the b1tch pin from the tranny side? Or can i get away from unbolting the shift linkage from the shift **** on the other end of the linkage?

If i have to remove the bitch pin, which i ve never done (when i had to disconnect the linkage in the past, i just unbolted it from under the shift ****), i ve heard that using a ac 12mm bolt gets it right out. If true, are these the right bolts shown in the picture?

If these are the right bolts, i ll make sure to use those if i have to bang out the b1tch pin.

Oil pan ..the Hondabond is only needed where at the oil pump to block join and rear main seal to block join both just on the block side of the gasket and all four points only need a thin smear about 1inch long just to garantee the seal at these joints

B1tch Pin... explain what your trying to do??

the bolt people use is the long ones that holds the compressor to the bracket.

Put in the corner of the oil pan seal where it dips.. I put it on both sides of the seal, I'll put a very small amount on the bolts too do they don't leak or back out.

Just and inch or so on either side of the bend is fine.

also, the honda bond only goes on the oil pan to gasket side, not the gasket to engine block side?
You can put it on both sides. A little bit goes a long way.

There's no need to remove the shift linkage to replace the steering rack, which slides out from the driver's side.
