Default oil pan gasket

Can anyone tell me how to change a oil pan gasket on a 1.6 sohc d16y8???

drain the oil, remove the oil pan, the remove the oil pan gasket (itll either be stuck to the oil pan or the block), then clean the **** out of the oil pan, administer the new gasket, and reconnect the oil pan to the block.

take the exhaust manifold out first. drain oil. remove flywheel cover on tranny. unbolt pan bolts 10mm. install in reverse order. buy the haynes manual. thats how i did mine about 2 months ago on my d16y8 too! it helps.

k thank you cuz it def looks more complecated then unbolting the oil pan and replacing it. so i just need to remove the exhaust manifold and flywheel cover then im good to go.
y install in reverse order?? and is there a certain pressure i need to bolt the oil pan back up

obviosly you havent done this on a y8 its a lil more difficult then unbolt replace and bolt back

actually i have done it. and i dont recall taking anything out other than the oil pan

trust me ive done it without taking off anything but the oil pan. idk if its easier for u take off the exhaust manifold no biggie

generally the exhaust hugs real close to the oil pan so i can't imagine trying to take the pan off and putting the seal on properly, with the header still in place.
