No only the vx which has d15z1 and the hx with d16y5 is equipped with egr.

Great this answers the question why a p06ecu does not have egr pinouts. I am doing some ecu swapping. Trading my p14 for a p06 ecu that is tunable.. i intend on removing and using a block off plate where my egr was. Will this make it run better or worse with it removed ( theoretically, if each ecu was tuned the same)?

if you have a VX or an HX it will really fk you up usually since those motors are very specific and run pretty lean usually as they are designed for gas mileage.

So you do not currently have the original engine in your car? You should have listed everything in your first post that you had a swap. I was then getting confused by removing your egr with a blockoff plate since the dx doesn't have egr.

This forum deals with 92-00 civic/del sol which both models include d series and b series which is why I only listed those two engines that use egr. If you want to talk about f/h/k series we have other forums for that such as the hybrid one.

i needed to know about the civic and the egr setup because i will be using its ecu. i have a prelude. the question was about a civic in the year range of this specific topic, and fairly simple question at that. my prelude uses a p14 ecu and a egr valve but the civic ecu i am swapping to (p06) has no egr pinouts. i would not have even brought the prelude up, but you ask, so i tried to help out on adding to the topic. all i wanted to know was: if a 1994 civic dx had a egr valve or not. thanks

oh alright, I got confused with the other car and motor and crap like that lol. No only a VX would have an EGR valve. Although all the ECU pinouts are the same and I am fairly certain that with any chipped setup you can program it to run an EGR with no problems. But EGR's can usually be bypassed/removed with no problems (infact things usually run better, unless they are lean burn engines like the VX/HX motors).

ok i believe i will just block off the egr all together, since i will be boosting the engine i really don't want anything that came from the exhaust recirculating into the air intake anyhow. good to know they usually run better with them removed (in most instances). sorry for confusing everyone i just wanted to try to add to the tread and help out.thanks for the help once again.

OK, this is extra good am changing out the ecu because i would not have considered the egr valve before this. I know it is a lil off the subject but it there anything you can think of that i might have over looked like the egr valve that should be blocked off? Maybe fast idle thermo valve too? Just wondering since more of you civic guys go for boost you might know more about it. Thanks again!
