I slapped in some new acl std main bearings and checked with plastiguage. All 5 came in at .002. What can I do?
I did measure all 5 at once with no oil... I believe that is the correct way.

This build is for a bone stock d15z1 and I want to do it right... well the best I can.

 

Micro Polish the crank... Check oem specs and run on the looser side

 

did you even bother to check the codes on the crank and block for your bearing size?

 

I don't see how a 20 year old engines specs would help here? BTW they came in at all yellow, which is even smaller than standard. So they would be a even bigger gap. Thanks for all the helpful info.

I think I'm going to recheck, cleaning everything really well. esp bolts and threads. .0005 is all i need so you never know. otherwise I guess I will go OEM blue

 

Better now that i cleaned and rechecked. closer to .0017 - .0019. So I slapped it all together.
