Code 20 help! Searched and replaced alternator, under hood fuse box etc
I started throwing a code 20 when I threw my stock single cam back in. 2 ECU's immediately threw the code. The one I have now throws the code after driving awhile. I've tried 2 under the hood fuses boxes, replaced the alternator, checked the grounds and everything checks out. Does anyone know what else it might be?
You've checked all of the grounds, but have you checked to make sure there is a proper connection between the ELD and the PFI? (step 4 in attachment)
Reset the ECU by pulling the fuse for a few minutes. Or pulling the ground from the battery terminal. Or both. If you haven't reset the ECU, the error may just be rolling over from before.
Not really sure what else could cause the problem beside bad grounds or a short somewhere in the system considering you have replaced the fusebox and the alternator already. I suppose it's possible the alternator may be bad and not be running at 100%.
