Default Victor X Vs. Skunk 2 in turbo Gsr

wat up guyz?

i have gsr with a skunk 2 manifold and in 2 weeks the car is going into the shop and its getting totally built.
je 10:1 pistons,
eagle rods,
Golden eagle sleeves
crower springs and retainers,
clutch flywheel,
i have type r cams and AEM gears
also its getting a turbo kit with a t3/to4E
3 inch apex N1 exhaust
and with 550cc injectors and accel DFi
everything is getting balances and blueprinted

i guess my question is i havee a skunk 2 and i wanna get the victor X with the secondary fuel rail option and get some 440CC secondaries and use my DFi to controll it...do u guyz think its worth it or should i jus keep my skunk 2 and use jus 550 injectors?...wha u guyz think?

Thanks alot
Travis

P.S- i plan on boosting 15 lbs or so...wanna make some serious power but stay safe as well.

thats a lot of boost on 10:1 compression, but i guess its all about tuning. oops haha forgot the topic...Victor X will flow better esp for turbo.

Victor X= =turbo

Good luck with your motor. Post some dyno's later. Hondata stage3? for ecu tuning.

unfortunaetly there is not much info at all as far as dyno charts go betweent those 2 products

everyone has their own prefernce. But on most na setups people loose hp from the jg vs skunk2

I would call the manufacturer and see if they have any dynos of comparing the two, or comparing thiers vs stock

good luck with your new setup

I have the victor X on my Turbo GSR and i am very pleased with the performance i gained form it. But then again my entire motor setup is from JG Engine Dynamics so mayeb my it would run a little different on my car or other peoples cars (not to say my car is any better than anyone elses, but maybe this is a factor ). Although my cousin had the Skunk2 and it ran decent turbocharged but then he bought the Victor X and it made a hell of a lot more power. So i would say go with the Victor X if you are going BOOST!!

Get the SK2 if you want to save money for other items! I have been running a Turbo GSR sk2 mani setup for a year and I love it. The Sk2's ports are slight larger than the ITR but longer and shorter than the Victor X. The short runners on the Victor X make it a "must have" item for WOT ,high revving, high boost setups. With low boost street redline setups you might lose some much needed power in the low range and lower midrange but will have massive gains at WOT from about 6krpm to redline. Peak power isn't everything and usable power under the curve is more important on a street vehicle.

I emailed you a pic of the two side by side......very impressive....the victor looks like it was made for turbo apps. later

I'm in a similar situation... I've got a turbo b18c hon hondata, boosting around 8 PSI. I will build it within a year... and I'm about to choose a new manifold. For a 8psi setup, would the victor X be worthwhile?

the boosted motor setups I've seen @ importbuilders all seem to use the jg mani.

im pretty confident that the victor x is a better manifold in both instances --- its just a higher quality intake manifold in general over skunk2, better in both applications.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, JG is great for all motor or turbo. I read a mag where someone gained upwards of 30-40 hp with the addition of the JG (victor x) manifold.

good to see that youre running decent compression with the turbo. with tuning everything will be fine. youre gonna be making some insane power.

sgt LOST power with the jg manifold

he has 245whp+

keep this to turbo only.

i say, still stick with skunk2 even though there service and customer support sucks
