spool of a gt42r on built gsr borred to 84.5mm
What would the 42r spool at on a built gsr with 84.5 mm bore and matched bore combustion chambers. It is built with darton MIR sleeves, cp pistons, crower rods, crower valve train with ti retainers, dual springs and 1mm oversized valves, gsr cams, etc. tuned with AEM. And would this turbo be a good choice?? I am looking for a minimum of 800-850 whp. I am open to suggestions also if anyone can think of a better turbo to achieve these power goals without nitrous.

DP, and other peices of kit? this all means something when talking spool times

I have tested manifolds with 4 inch downpipe and have seen huge differences in spool time because of only manifold design. He said a 42r so i knew 4 inch was the only option.

Re: spool of a gt42r on built gsr borred to 84.5mm (b20vrex)
anybody else done any testing on different exhaust housings?
i just switched from a 1.01 to a 1.15. slightly later spool time, but seemed to hold power at high revs much better. unfortunatly i didnt get to make any 40 psi pulls to see if power up there was any differnt. i guess we will see this weekend at the track hopefully.
who's doing the cylinder head on this car your shooting for 800-850 on?

Could you elaborate on the details of your observations on these huge differences in spool times with different manifold designs?
