1988 Accord DX Automatic Start Circuit help needed
So far, I have determined that the neutral safety switch works, and is getting +12vdc at the proper times. I cannot get it out of the cab however. My friend/mechanic seems to think there may be a relay near the radio under the dash that actually ports power to the solenoid (black/white wire with a spade lug) but I am not sure.
I can jump +12vdc to the spade connector on the solenoid, and it clicks in and starts the car fine. All fuses are good.
Anyone know for sure whether there is another relay between the neutral safety switch and the wire that attaches via a spade lug to the solenoid?
If there is a relay, where is it? If not, I am planning to install a new wire from the neutral safety switch directly to the spade lug of the solenoid, but I don't want to do that if there is a relay!
Thanks for any help. Getting a bit old to climb under the dash, and being 6'5" isn't helpful either.

Unless your car has a starter cut relay, [either OEM or aftermarket] there should be no "starter" relay like in the manual transmission cars, power goes from ign. switch starter output, [black/white] to "Automatic Gear Position Switch" out from AGPS to the starter solenoid.
If you have tested for power at the output of the AGPS, and have it, but do not have it at the starter solenoid "exciter" lead, [spade terminal] then there is a connection problem between the AGPS and the starter solenoid.
You have confirmed you have power on the black/white at the ign. switch when ign. switch is in start position, right?
And you have confirmed you have power at both the input and output of the AGPS, when ign. switch is in start position, and shifter is in Park or Neutral, right? 94

Yes I have verified that +12v is present at the output side connector of the AGPS, and that it is interrupted whenever the shift lever is moved out of P or N with the ignition switch in "CRANK".
So my son and I are going to install a new wire from the inside at the output wire to the solenoid, and to be safe we are putting an inline 5A fuse inline.
Thanks for your kind reply. I think we may have broken the wire when we unhooked the radiator and condenser coil cooling fans (I must say the darn thing had to have been on the verge though).
