Can someone help me wire a push start using a relay I have a button that I want to use but I don't know how to wire it can someone please help

 

MM&Y of car would help, auto or 5 speed?

Most, if not all Honda/Acura use a black/white wire as the starter lead, at ign. switch. 94.

 

It's a 96 honda civic 5spd

 

Then black/white, disconnect from ign. switch, [can be de-pinned] connect that to #30 of a relay supply 12V+, [from 12V constant free pin on under dash fuse box] to #s 85 and 87 of the relay wire one side of switch to ground and the output of switch to #86 of the relay, your done.
Turn ign. on and press clutch and press start button. 94

can you help with this what does he mean by a negative trigger

 

The relay is energized, [turned on] with a ground, "negative trigger"

A relay can be controlled/energized/turned on using a ground or 12V+, Terminals #85 and #86 at the relays coil, [switch] and are non polarized, meaning you can connect a neg. or a pos. to either terminal and as long as the opposite terminal gets the opposite polarity it will work, so if to ground #85 and supply 12V+ to terminal #86 the relay will energize and the revers is also true, supply 12V+ to one of the terminals and ground the other terminal and the relay will energize. 94

You do not need much of a switch because all it is doing is turning on the relay, about 250mV to energize and 125mV to keep it on, your push button switch is most likely a 5A switch, more then 10 times the amperage needed. 94
