Main relay kill switch question
I wired up a main relay kill switch to a hidden switch and it doesn't let the car start when switched one way but does the other way (which is how it should be)
But it will crank when switched off ...I cut into the ground wire of the main relay so I thought it would kill everything on the relay, including starter?? So I thought it would do nothing with this switch in the off position...
Am I wrong or did I wire it up wrong???
Also on a 94 integra which wire on the main relay is the starter??

You did it correct.
The main relay does not kill the starter. Let them crank away and kill the car battery.
Also there is no starter wire on the main relay. Also relocate the main relay from the stock location.

Gotcha makes alot of sense now!! So where should I do the starter kill through the alarm?
And lastely, if I run the ground on the main relay to a separate switch do I use a relay? Or just for something that draws alot of current like the starter kill?
I saw this in another post above and I am wiring up the same alarm, and also not using remote start, so if I wire the main relay to the Orange (ground-when-armed) do I still need to do the pink wire to the ignition?
Thanks WRX-killer, I was hoping you would chime in..appreciate it

Use the ground while arm wire- Orange. To control a relay to kill the main relay. You can also add a switch to the relay to keep the it going if the theif so happens to find the brain. Starter kill can be bypassed to easy by push starting the car or tapping 12 volts to the starter.

It depends on how you are setting up your alarm. If you are doing a stealth alarm install you can put the relay to kill the main relay with the alarm brian. This way you can tag the ignition wire and the switched ignition for the main relay kill relay at one spot.
The main relay has a ignition input that good for switch ignition.
since you allready did the kill install here is how to add a relay to it.
87a -to one side of the ground of the main relay cut.
30 -to other side of the ground of the main relay cut
85 -to ground while armed wire orange, you can also put a switch on this lead that has a ground to it. This will keep the relay working if you forget to arm the car or if the brain is found.
86 - tag the pink igniton input and tie these both toghter and run it to the ignition on the main relay harness.

You need to test for that wire with a multi meter. Do it with the main relay unpluges. On some cars its black with a yellow trace.
depending on what alarm you are using the ignition input is either yellow or pink. But your diagram is correct

Its best to start a new thread, but its all good. Yes you cut the black wire right there. And on your pic the ignition wire on that harness is the blk/yellow strip.
sorry to bump this from like 3 months ago, but im still working on this **** and need help.
I wired everything just like the diagram and it wont work.
I have checked the relay and it works fine.
I am not using the remote start feature on my alarm so I do not have the ignition wire ran to anything. Basically with my alarm going off the car can still be started... I am trying to get this working.
-Do I run the PINK (ignition from alarm) to the Black/Yellow ignition wire on my car then run a wire off of it and to 86 pin and run a wire off that to the ignition on the main relay?? Im so confused..

If you are not using the remote start you will need to connect the yellow lead in ribbon harness to an ign. source, the alarm brain gets it's ign input from the remote start relay pack, pink lead, depin all but the yellow lead from the ribbon harness plug, [alarm brain end] and connect the yellow lead to a "true" ign. source, [true ign. = hot in run and start] the alarm will not work properly until it has in ign. input.
It needs ign. input for programing, valet feature, disarm without remote, [emergency override] to clear tripped alarm LED play back and I am sure a few other things.
Keep the PGM-FI Main Relay kill simple, a switch on the ground lead, use the alarms "starter kill" for the starter or ign. kill
A main relay kill that is separate from the alarm is more effective, even if the crook got your keys and alarm remote he still could not start the car.94

No, not the pink ign. 1 lead, [from relay module]
You do not need the relay module at all if you are not installing the remote start.
You need to connect the yellow lead in the ribbon harness, [ribbon harness connects the "relay satellite" to the alarm brain] all you need is the yellow lead in that harness, remove, by de-pinning, all but the yellow lead and connect that yellow lead to a "true ign." source. 94
