Default How to install vband wastegate

I wish I had pics, ill try to load them in a bit.
Im having trouble with the adapter piece that goes between the wastegate and vband flange, i can put it together, but it takes a lot of pressure and im pushing in the plunger. Does this sound right?

doesnt sound right at all..

one part gets welded to the WG opening, the other is part of the WG. Use the collar to squeeze the 2 together. the more you tighten the collar, the more sealing.

If you have any questions, just google image V band

the one on the WG should already be on, so u have just 1 ring and a collar.

So, in the pic, the bottom gets welded to the WG outlet.

The one on the side gets welded to the dump tube.

I cant explain it any easier

That's ring is called a valve seat. You need to preload the valve and seat to install the wastegate.
