Default Can I switch from low to high boost during a run?

What's up fellow h-t members! I recently purchase a turbosmart dual stage boost controller and had a quick question regarding it.

This boost controller is suppose to allow you to switch your boost settings with an actual switch, but I was wondering if I would be able to do it during a run?

IE run it in low boost for 1-2 gear then switch it right before/after I go into 3rd.

It also says on their website that be just INSTALLING this boost controller, boost will automatically increase up to +4psi because of the ball/spring design meant for quicker boost, any info on this? Currently the car is a STOCK B20vtec tuned/running on the spring(8psi) and I'd like to keep it at 8psi and have the switch setup for 12psi. I'd think just by leaving the low boost **** alone would keep the PSI at the wg spring, but after reading what's posted on the site, I'm not so sure and would like to know from anyone who knows the answer BEFORE I install and set up a dyno session with my tuner.

Any POSITIVE suggestions/feedback is GREATLY appreciated! This is where I learn most of my stuff anyways, so thanks in advance!

First:
What is your ECU Hondata or Neptune or ECtune what.

Second:
If you have the above Ecu's i mentioned why you don't get a mac PWM.

Third:
It's very easy and here is some images below and links to get you started.

Hondata Link.

Yungkhmer, I believe as long as you have your setup tuned for 17psi, you can run anything under that no problem(so I've read). My question is, can I switch from low-High in the middle of racing. Kinda like a cheap "boost by gear" type thing to prevent any traction problems(reel em' in or pull away like MADD in 3-4, embarass a few muscles) lol.

Yes you can switch it anytime. You may need a lower Wg spring then adjust up to your desired boost level for low boost though. I used one of these back in 05-06 and it worked great
