So my DD mini me has been acting strange lately. I am unsure as to why this is happening i have replaced some parts so see if they would solve the on going issue.
the car mis fires bad at start up but seems like it will rev fine. just have to stay on the gas till is "figures things out" and get back to a somewhat normal running state. the car will jerk and misfire bad if you attempt to drive it, or just dies if you dont give it gas. I also get random jerks and what seems to be like loss of total engine power while driving, i can press the gas as much as i want or let off. the engine will suddenly come back to life and act as if everything was fine again.

I have NO CEL

I have about 6k miles on this setup and am just now having issues.

engine setup:
d15 block z6 head
tuned on e85
DSM 450cc injectors (inline resistors)
I/H/E
chipped p28

parts replaced:
plugs
wires
lignitor

Check your timing.

 

nothing changed timing wise.

 

Did you look at it or just guessed in your underpants?

Could possibly be a faulty distributor.

Or did you put in the wrong fuel.

 

nope fuel is fine.
ichecked the timing, ill start with coil and cap/rotor

 

Is the problem just at startup or does it occur while driving after the motor gets up to operating temp?

Are your injectors spraying? I would say try check that, compression and spark plugs.

 

make sure you check spark plug gaps and the your rotor is not loose. i had a smillar problem on my H22a. my screw backed out and the rotor was making the hole in the rotor more of a circle. there could be alot of pidding in the cap also

have you pulled a plug? know how to read plugs?
