Yesterday I drove the car to my late class. Started up fine drove fine. Then on the freeway I let off the gas to slow down for traffic. At about 3grand while decelerating it sounded almost like it was misfiring. The revs would not go down they would just sit there and bounced off that rpm. I hit the gas and it reved back down normal (This problem only happens when the clutch is engaged and decelerating). Then it threw a CEL. So i drive to school, park turn the car off. Turn it back on to acc. to check the cel. No cel. Go to class come out and start the car. It wanted to fall on its face. Sounded like it was REALLY rich, i had to give it a little gas to get her up. All the time sounding like its misfiring or something really bad. Finally get it a little better. Pull out of the parking lot and CEL immidiatly comes back on. On the drive home it felt fine, sounded fine.

Found out a mile from home that it also had me in limp mode and fuel cutting me at ~4500 rpm.

The car has been on the same map, I changed to CROME but its also doing it with the original UBERDATA map. Only thing that has been done different was the installation of the wideband (I run open loop so I dont think that would cuase a problem).

My GF brother has the tool to get the plugs out, so IM going to get that and look at them. But Im stummped on what is going on.

is your map sensor still working right? Check the cel while the car is still running if you can.

put the car back to the same conditions that it ran fine with.

i.e. remove the wideband and run UBER...

do you still see the same results?

Well I went out and messed with the car again today. Checked the CEL and I was getting 1 (Primary o2) and 17 (VSS).

Anyone know why the computer was looking for the primary O2 when I have it in open loop? I went ahead and put the stock o2 back in so it can be hooked up, but I would like to use my wideband soon. Also I have no idea why the VSS went off. As of right now niether cels have came on again.

Any ideas?

Is your speedo working right all the time? Also the o2 code will come on quite often if you dont have it hooked up even if you are in open loop. This happens in uberdata, crome, and hondata. Its just annoying, but shouldn't effect anything when it comes on.

Yup speedo never went all wacko. Car runs fine now. I dont know why those made the car run like that

remove checksum, debug and run in openloop! should be fine after that..

just a thought. i had a problem a while back like this. turned out my o2 sensor was grounding out on the body of the car. and it would blow my VSS fuse. the o2 and VSS are on the same circuit from what i found out so you might want to look into that stuff as well just incase.
