i have a b20b swap in my eg.... i keep on ripping the fuel return hose is it due to too much pressure?.... does anyone know wat could be causing that?

i just replaced it... but the new one is getting swollen as you can see.

 

are you using hose rated for fuel?

 

yes... its a 3/8 fuel hose is that the right size for it?

 

And it rips where exactly?

 

it just gets so swollen that it starts making little tares everywhere on the hose then it starts to leak from the tares.

 

Maybe you have an obstruction in the line?

 

how can i check for that?

 

Only thing I could think of would be compressed air. Any kinks in the hard line?

I can't tale where the rib is in your pic. do you have a better picture that is properly sized maybe?

I can't see the clamp so it's hard for me to pass any judgement. Using a gear style hose clamp and overtightening it will make the hose swell and tear though.

Also there shouldn't really be any pressure on the return line.

 

Have you measured the fuel pressure?

 

what the fuel pressure suppose to be at?

 

This is why you get a service manual for the car your motor comes out of.

37-41PSI, as measured CORRECTLY at the fuel filter, and it should hold for a few hours after turning off the car.
