96 gsr cam caps, cam journals order...
i have a 96 gsr engine my buddy was changing the headgasket and he forgot how the cam caps go back they have the numbers 4-1, 3 ,2-2. now we know that 3 goes in the middle we're just confused about the other two which looks exactly alike any help would be appreciated thanks, i've searched and all i can find are the cam seal replacements,
is the correct order #1 or #2
#1 dizzy 4-1, 3, 2-2 timing belt
or
#2 dizzy 2-2, 3, 4-1 timing belt

thanks for the reply dc4lsteg, can't see the numbers, see how the 2 middle cam caps looks exactly the same but they have numbers on em to tell em apart just need to see those, we dont want to mix up the caps since it can mess up the cams

i found and downloaded a pdf of a 94 integra manual and found the order

I just checked my factory manuals. The #1 cam holder on all engines is always at the timing belt end. #5 is at the distributor end. Now you know where #2 and #4 go.
Note that there are arrows on the holders. These must point towards the timing belt.

if you put your caps on exactly as pictured above you will have them in the correct order. you cannot mess up if you do it just like the one above. they only go on in one orientation. the slits on the top of the cap face the timing belt side of the engine. there is your definite answer that was already given to you BUT you could not interpret it for yourself, so i did it for you. a picture is worth a thousand words goddamn.

im not hyper...the reason i said what i said, was because, after the picture was posted, you were still somehow confused on how they went together. i just wanted it to be crystal clear for you.
