Icon6 I damaged the R shifting into 2nd, advise needed.

I revved hard lit up first gear but when I shifted into second I didn't get it into the gear properly before letting the clutch up. Now I can't put into second gear unless I'm driving very slow or am at a complete stop. All else is fine. If I try to put into 2nd otherwise it grinds and never allows it into second. What did I damage? Who else as goofed and solved this problem? How do I go about fixing it. Thanks in advance.

New set of syncros in the tranny is most likely the problem

Clutch feels good but should I change at the same time or can I get away with just changing the syncros? Should I buy the Syncros at Acura Dealer or is there a aftermarket that has some pros over OEM?

The syncros are up to you you can go factory or carbon coated from syncrotech people have mixed feelings on the carbon coated me personally like them I think it's smoother. The clutch... Inspect it when you pull the trans

Sorry not for sale, plus I wouldn't want to someone who might put a turbo or supercharger on it. Leave that crap for the GSRs. lol, I'm just teasing you dude but no, not for sale.

I had an issue where I couldn't downshift into 2nd, or roll the car while clutch-in, in reverse. input shaft bearing was worn out. don't know how.
I got full bearing set, carbon-lined synchros and a 4.785 final, all from mfactory.
clutch done as well, it was about time anyways. Gotta say, shifts so smooth, I'm happy with it.

Rebuilding an ITR Trans with syncrotech bearings and syncros with 3.07 1st and 4.9 final.
Many options are available to you. Good luck.

A clutch spring would affect all gears, not just 2nd. I'd pull the transmission, inspect the clutch and transmission internals. Measure the clearance between the synchro ring and the top of 2nd gear. Compare it to spec and if you're near or under the service limit, replace the 1-2 synchro set. Also inspect the teeth on second gear. If they're beyond regular wear, then replace it too.
