Default Help: 94 civic ex ej1 overheating

Whats up got a 94 civic ex d16z6 5spd, it recently noticed the temp gauge got above normal, so decided I should change thermostat, after running it still did the same, seems to me like the fan is kicking on a little late, need help. Don't knw what the problem is, could it be the temp sensor on thermostat housing

Did you bleed the coolant system after the thermostat replacement?

It's possible is the fan switch (on the T housing). Just pick one up at the local honda dealer.. Or if you're low on cash, short the fan switch so it runs continuously.

I had the same exact problem on the same exact car (mine lol)

The coolant gauge would go up but stay in the normal range, checked my radiator cap and it was broken.changed that, bleeded the coolant and it got a little better.replaced the radiator bleeded the coolant again and it's been fine ever since
also replaced the thermostat for good measure

I'm gonna try a new temp sensor they're $20 or so, hopefully that fixes the problem, if not i'll wiring the fan so it can run constantly.

First unplug the fan switch and jump the connector with a piece of wire so it will run all the time. If this does not prevent the overheating, then the problem is elsewhere.

Are you losing any coolant?

Did you bleed like this:

Bleeding the cooling system may take 20-30 minutes.

1) Park the car on an inclined driveway with the front end higher than the rear.

2) Push the dash heater lever/**** to MAX heat.

3) Follow the directions in the diagram below (hint: the bleed bolt is located where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine):
