Default d16z6 low impedence injectors

i have a 91 crx si im building a d16z6 for boost. the size injectors i want to get are low impedence. and i know after i convert everything to obd1 it will run high impedence injectors. so my question is do i just leave the resistor box in the car to run the low impedence injectors. is this the right way or will this mess something up. thanks for the help.

lets get this straight, i hear it all the time. injectors are NOT OBD1 or OBD0 specific. they are either low impedance or saturated. thats it. if they are low impedance then you will use the resitor box, if they are saturated (commonly found on 92+ civic/integras) then you will need to eliminate the resistor box. you can use a resistor box as long as your injectors, not the car or ecu, require it.

i understand this im trying to get the information out so evryone knows what im working with. 91 and older run low impedence and 92 and newer run high or saturated. i was trying to figue out since the computer i would be running was ob1 which runs saturated or high impedence. in order for me to run low impedence do i just leave the resistor box hooked up or was there something else i had to do in order to riun low impedence injectors with out ruining my injectors computer or nething else. i understand the diff in obd0 and obd1 and low and high thanks for the help

heres your answer dont touch the injector harness just run the stock si injectors and upgrade to what you want cuz you already got the resitor box

Ok, again, the ECU has NOTHING to do with what injectors you use.

If the injectors are peak and hold/low impedance, run the resistor box.

If they're high impedance/saturated, don't run the resistor box.

Plain and simple.

OBD has NOTHING to do with it either.

lol gotta love it. all i needed to no was do i just keep the resistor box. got to hondata.com and go to tech section they have a write up running low impedence injectors on a obd1/2 computer without the resistor pack. it fries the ecu. so my question was when converted did i just keep the resistor box or was there something else i needed to do. i wasnt sure if the resistor box would cause ne issues. atleast i got an answer thanks

i dont see how it would burn up the ecu, seeing as they ecu controls the ground side of the injectors. i can see how the injectors would burnout, but not the ecu

It can.
likelyhood? not sure.
It makes less resistance so it's closer to being like a short.
Circuit pulls more amperage.

accorrding to the handata tech section low impedence with out the resistor caused the ecu to overheat. they said different loads had differebt effects. like just low speed cruising probably wouldnt really get it to hot. but they ran it at like 6k and i think it said in 10 min the board was toast. they said it got so hot they could actually just pick parts up off the board without even having to desolder it. thats y i was asking i no in the scheme of things which obd it is doesnt matter but i wanted to make sure that i have the resistance set uo right so i dont do this to mine. and i wasnt sure if that resistor box would work or if i needed something else. thanks for the help everyone
