Default upgrading injectors...?

i currently have a set of 450cc dsm bluetops and it looks as though im going to need to upgrade them. i have an obd1 so i had to install the resistor box. now my question is do i currently have low impedence or high impedence? and whats the difference between saturated and non saturated injectors?

thanks

You want the dissertation or the brass tacks?

Brass tacks is saturated = high impedance = high Z, peak and hold = low impedance = low Z, and the Honda ECU needs high Z injectors to prevent from drawning too much current so you run a resistor box with low Z injectors to raise the impedance.

The, ah, dissertation takes a bit longer to type.

you have low impedance right now because of the resistor box just in case you didnt pick that up from joseph's explanation.
all those equal signs and z's made my head spin.

so i have low impedence peak and hold? so i should just get the same kind of injectors if i want something plug and play?

You need either

- saturated injectors (high Z) with NO resistor box

or

- peak and hold injectors (low Z) AND a resistor box

The ECU needs a high impedance injector circuit, you either buy the correct injectors (RC sells them up to 750cc) or you run a resistor box. Either way works great.

To sum it up...if you dont want to touch your currently installed resistor box, take out the DSM450cc and replace then with a bigger LOW Impedance injector.

I suck at making things simple, sometimes.
