i think its the shifter...or shift linkage because the noise is coming from there.

Jack the car up and check for loose bolts. Shift linkage itself has nothing to do with it.

 

i ment the shfiter not shift linkage. i tighten up that bolt.. shake the shifter no rattle. i did find 2 loose motor mount *the back one* but i tighten it up and thought that was the problem so i took it for a spin after still rattle....maybe something internal? however it sound like its coming from the shifter...

Bad catalytic converter

All you need to do is take it off and shake it. If there was anything loose in it you would know.
