Im no expert but might have something to do with the motor coming out of an obd2 car.

If the problem is only there with your "chipped" ecu then i would say that the ecu is the problem.

Which ecu is it?

where did the harness and the dizzy come from .. what car ? year ? if you used the obd2 harness there is your problem .. the a4 motors had triggers on the crank that mount on the oil pump the the h22a all the pick ups are contained in the dizzy itself .

Original prelude si harness was used (93 prelude si w/h23a1).. dizzy is an internal coil td-61u from a obd1 h22 prelude.. only codes are 9 and vtec oil pressure which I haven't bypassed yet.. like I said my stock h23 p14 runs the car with just an o2 code but not a cyp code.. and my ecu was done just last week.
Also I read that ckp was on the oil pump on obd2 h22 and cyp is in the dizzy.. in the post below

It's your dizzy. Try to borrow one off a friend. As long as every thing is off a obd1 it reads it off your dizzy and not the oil pump sensor.

My friend has a h22a but his distributor is external coil.. im gonna try a new one, if it doesn't work or if it does ill repost the results.. I wanted to know before I bought this also, will the Jdm td-60u dizzy be ok to use? Is internal coil which is wat I need since I dnt have the external set up.. it is obd1

Can you take a picture of the plug and wires coming out of that dizzy that you have? I wonder if something is missing in the JDm dizzy that your US ecu is looking for.

I'm assuiming you had the H23 beforehand, is the H23 dizzy still around? That should work just fine if you still have it (external coil and all)

That's the thing, its a td-61u but the cap doesn't have that extra plug for the coil.. there is no external coil in the prelude period which is why I figured I needed a internal coil one.. ill take a pic. I have another h22 dizzy laying around but its external coil and like I said, that whole set up looks like it was taken out of the car

I think u are misunderstanding.. the distributor im using is the h23 one, which is in the pic .. but there's no plug for the extra coil on the cap.. My car is not set up at all for an external set up.. plus td-61u's are all external.. idk why this one has a diff cap.. I was going to buy a Jdm dizzy because that for sure is internal (I dnt have the external set up) and with it being new, would maybe get rid of the code since everything will be inside it never used.. I think my h23 one was tampered with before I got it

If that was me I would,

Buy new( or used not hack job) vtec motor wiring, and setup a external setup.

I think I found the problem.. this distributor looks like it was converted, or at least tried to be converted .. it wasn't originally internal coil.. im going to see if my new one fixes the prob

Yeah theres no such thing as a USDM Prelude that came from the factory with an internal coil dizzy. The dizzy casisngs though for the most part are the same so I would say that someone has taken it apart and pieced their own setup together which is why the part number appears correct. Doesnt mean you cant get it to work that way but I am guessing theres a sensor inside there thats missing. Have you taken it apart? There should be 3 sensors inside and 3 corresponding trigger wheels. You probably also have an altered wire harness. Might be a mess to sort this out! You should be able to source a factory (accord) obd1 internal coil dizzy... if the wiring is correct that might solve your problem. If it doesnt there is probably a wiring issue to sort out as well (something that didnt get hooked up)
