ls or gsr for sleeving?

Default ls or gsr for sleeving?

i want to get a block sleeved but i dont know if i should use a ls or gsr block, let me know what you guys think (goods and bads) thanks

Searching would be the answer...

It depends on what setup you have or want to run. Think about it.

GSR already has a block girdle. Minimal deck height differences. Depending on if you want the 87 or 89mm stroke would be another factor if buying a complete short block. GSR would accept a VTEC head with out a conversion kit. There are many factors. Since you didt give ANY information on the build desired I would highly recommend you stick to D15's.

The gsr block has more webbing so technically its a little more sturdy but all in all peopel have been sleeving ls and gsr blocks for years and one fdoesnt perform better than the other. The girdle isnt nessesary but a nice addition. if your going vtec you wont need a conversion kit but againt his is all minimal stuff. the crank can be used from either block and put into either block so that doesnt make any difference. once a b series block is sleeved and done correctly its close to bulletproof reguardless of b18b or b18c

i want to built a turbo block 83mm, and wanted to know if a gsr was more solid than a ls since it has a girdle????
