99 Honda Civic: Blown Headgasket, Does this block need decked?
Recently picked up a 99 Civic Lx with a blown headgasket. I had the head milled but I wondering if the block will need to be decked.
The deck of the block is straight except on the cylinder sleeves. The sleeves are made of 2 different metals and there is a .004" height difference between the 2 different metals of the cylinder sleeves. I checked with a straightedge and feeler gauges. You physically feel the difference with your finger as well.
Will the head gasket seal the difference? I can take pics later for reference.
Thanks

Did the motor overheat? It's always good to have a machine shop check it out but then to get it decked, you will need to take everything out.
