Tial exhaust housing DP V-band flange
Looks like the crook who built my manifold and DP might have pulled a quick one on me. Please look at the pics below. The outside diameter of the flange on my DP is about an 1/8" larger than the corresponding flange on the ex housing. The clamp seems to hold them together sufficiently but I am worried about this mismatch leaking. The I.D. of the two flanges seems to be the same but the dp flange definitely is not a Tial item. It does not have the raised lip on the I.D. portion like the flange on the manifold. I am in the US right now and I'd like to resolve this issue before I fly back to Japan.
Note: I can not send this setup back to the fabricator because they are out of business. If they were still doing business I wouldn't send the setup back to them because they are shady.
Mismatch

Clamped together

Raised lip on the manifold flange

Generic DP flange that does not have the raised lip

Housing flange that has a recessed area

I'm not worried about the lack of back purging on the dp. After looking at the pics, I think the wg will prevent the dp from moving when installed. Hopefully 1/8" difference will not hamper the clamping force.
Since I do not have a TIG welder and would like have the repaired properly, The correct answer would be: take the setup to a trusted shop and have them perform the repair.
Issues:
Need to source the Tial v-band flange for a GT30/35 housing (have a trusted person searching for one)
I need to find a trustworthy shop/fabricator in LA (Lower Alabama... Birmingham to be specific)
I will only be in the US for a couple more weeks.
Having the repair performed in Okinawa is more hit than miss since I do not drive a Nissan, Toyoboat or rolling wreck (drifter).

Locash is checking on some other stuff for me so I'll most likely just purchase the Tial flange from him. I forgot about a friend who does a lot of custom milling in Japan so I'm gonna see if he can mill the excess off before I have the flange replaced.
Walker Morgan is right in Birmingham and is a fantastic fabricator. http://mpfab.com/galleries.htm
Thanks for the info but the parts have been sent to Japan and I will be flying back on friday. I'll check out that shop on my next trip.
