i started the car and it fired right up with no real issues, except...im leaking from the turbo drain back flange on the hot side of turbo. i bought a AN 10 flange that is made from God Speed and its leaking from the gasket area onto the bolts and so on. its a drip leak so its either the gasket it came with it sucks or the whole damn flange is crap. i mean i had to modify it so i can use the proper bolts. so my guess the flange isnt sitting flush which in result creating a leak which in result i have to buy a better flange that will work for sure.

what modifications did i have to make to the flange you ask?
i had to widen the holes so i can 1) fit the correct bolt; 2) be able to line the flange properly. you know what...these off the wall parts really show there weakness to quality parts BIG TIME. i cheaped out on my BOV and i had to order the correct snap ring and even then im not real confident on how it sits. its snug but once you try to rotate the BOV it becomes some what lose a little, that tells me ill have a vacuum leak in that area. I also cheaped out on a drain flange for my turbo and it doesnt sit right...goes to show where and how you need to spend your money.

im not that all upset because its not a huge ticket item but i will replace once i find out which i should buy. i have to get a flange with the 10an fitting already made into it. btw, the oil kit came from fast turbo and the reason why i didnt use there oil drain back flange is because it was creating a kink in the return line.

any suggestions for a drain back flange i should purchase?

It sounds like the drain flange is not the right part. I use the ATP fitting and have zero issues. If you are desperate you can try doubling up on the gasket or make your own from gasket paper.

 

How about using some rtv and trash the gasket?

 

Don't use gaskets there, they are basically useless. Try Hondabond.
