1999 Civic SI wont start after compression check. HELP!
I have a 99 Civic SI with the b16a2 completely stock. I did a compression check today and disconnected the Denso PCS24 Solenoid connected to the fuel injector harness. The car started and then I shut it off assuming there was just left over fuel in the lines. It then cranked but didn't start after, so I completed the check hooked everything back up and the car will not start but cranks. It seems to not be getting spark, al I have left is the coil I guess? Any other ideas are welcomed!
It's forsure the ignition coil. The same thing happened to me. You need to unplug the dizzy before you crank it otherwise it will fry the coil.
And that denso unit you unplugged is part of the evaporative emmisions system.
so plug that back in not to blast P04??'s

Dont worry about the P0420, this code is for catalyst effeciency, This code does not affect how the vehicle runs. It is simply stating that the cat is not doing its job, this could be cause of a testpipe or straightpipe, header, ect.
This code would be a problem if you were going to get it smogged although, as this code was givin to you after the catalyst monitor ran and found a descrepency with the catalyst not doing its job effeciently(being you probably dont have one)
That is why after resetting the ECU it would take some time for this fault to illuminate the MIL.
