Default Different radiator?

Shouldn't I be able to put a DA Integra radiator inside my '91 Prelude Si, so its not taking up too much space? and the fact that the motor likes to eat through the radiators i buy for the car or at least a civic radiator?

Have you measured the spacing of the radiator itself and the brackets just to be sure?? I personally don't know of anyone that has done a radiator swap from a Da to a BB2..or if it'll even line up.

Im guessing that I need to do that first before even thinking about just ripping the cracked radiator out. I mean ive had people tell me I could do that easily but i dont trust what they say. But the one that told me I was able to do it drives a DA integra and he said I should be able to use that small radiator for it, but i dont know. Maybe I need a high performance radiator?

I have seen a lot of Preludes running a Civic radiator. They went with one after deleting A/C, and going boost (for extra clearance for the turbine, down pipe, and intercooler piping).

Now if I "do" decide to run a civic radiator with mine, would i have to get rid of the a/c?

Shouldn't have even touch your AC if you're just installing a different/smaller radiator. You will have to change how the radiator will be mounted though. (if you go civic half rad)

Okay, thanks. Sounds like an easy thing to do.

From the way you're describing it sounds like the motor is torquing so much that it's punching a hole in the radiator, why not just fix the motor mounts that is the root of the problem?

I think he said that the current radiator was leaking and he was looking for any other that he could use for his BB from another chasis, preferrably a half radiator...again, I THINK.

You shouldnt have to touch the ac if your just replacing radiator..I dont have AC myself in my BB but i have WINDOW AC, which works wonderfully..and YES YOU SHOULD HAVE MEASURED EVERYTHING FIRST IF YOU ARE TRYING TO fit something in your car that might have worked on another chasis...ALWAYS RESEARCH..which im sure you did right??!!

Something I feel I should add though - although you won't need to touch your a/c, you will have to re-mount both fans somehow.

But since you're thinking about a radiator that's not stock, i'm assuming you've already taken that into consideration.

If you've not, Mizu makes decent aftermarket fans. Or you could figure a way to re-mount the factory fans.

Also, I've got a stock EG rad and fan I'd be willing to part with. The stock EG fan mounts to the FB radiator, if you have the space for it.
