Default Front Tire Wear and Bent Frame, Says Firestone

My son's 2000 civic has always worn out the left front tire on the inside. It was not too bad when he lived in town, but now that he is three hours away, the highway trips are eating the tire up.

We have the Firestone lifetime warranty on his car and get it aligned every 6 months. Last time it was aligned Firestone put a new tire on free because they thought they messed up the alignment. They all so recommend a shim kit for the rear suspension.

Last weekend he was in, and the tire was worn. Took it to Firestone, and they said the frame was bent, possibly . Hmmm?

We put a new tire on so he could make the trip back home.

I called the Honda dealership that we bought the car from six years ago, and the service guy said he doubted the frame was bent. It could be a part of some sort worn out.

Anybody have an issue like this? I checked all the ball joints, A-arms, I could find nothing worn out.

Thanks,
Tortis

1. Possibly a bent subframe. A subframe shift may help, but there isn't much wiggle room.

2. Was the rear aligned?

3. How do the LCA bushings look on the left side?

could always take it to a collison repair shop and they can measure it out.. It should be within 3mm of factory

Have Honda look at it, they know it best. Firestone is terrible.

This. I've been going to firestone for a while, and I hate them. The techs no nothing, and think they know everything.

Do you have the print out from the alignment? That could help us in figuring this out...
Is it lowered?
