Ok, so i made the attempt to clean the egr porta and everything and its still doin the same thing. i called my buddy thats a honda guru and he said it may be something internal in the distributor (ignitor, etc) so im planning on looking into but dont really want to spend that much money if its really not that.
OKAY NEW UPDATE, just installed a new distributor after bein told that that may be the problem by several different people and its still doin the same exact thing!! what else could be it? any suggestions anyone?
It's unfortunate that you listened to someone that told you to replace something that didn't need replacing. There are ways to test the distributor components vs swapping parts to diagnose an issue.
Now you mention here that the CEL flashed when you had the SCS connector jumped...... How many times did it flash? A solid CEL light with the SCS jumped means no stored codes. Any flashes while it's jumped indicate stored code(s).
