Default Can anyone identify this cable? Under steering wheel

Hey H-T, I just found this wire hanging from under my steering wheel that just came out of nowhere. I'm a little concerned just because it's an unknown wire to me and wanted to know what this wire is and where it's suppose to go. Here's a pic of it and where it came from. Would greatly appreciate it if you can identify what it is and where it goes.

That's your antenna plug.

Antenna plug as said above for the sound system.
It should be running towards the player/radio not hanging near the steering column.

Not necessarily. From the tip of the antenna to the head unit, there are actually two wires. One goes into the back of the head, and ends above the pedals, behind the dash. The second runs from there, up into the antenna. Considering the location, if I had to wager a guess, I'd guess the antenna came unplugged from the patch cable.

At the risk of sounding redundant, it's the antenna cable. Did you just get this car or did it just fall out of nowhere?

Yeah I had a feeling it was some sort of audio cable. I bought the car and the radio wasn't working at the time. I just recently noticed the wire when it just fell out of nowhere. Now I kinda figure why my radio doesn't work lol

Hey can you take a picture where that cable leads to? Like to the left side. I need to know where the antenna hole is. I've been trying to find it with no success. Thanks.

The antenna hole is on the top of the car! It routes down the front left A-pillar then underneath the dash to the radio. It's pretty obvious.

if you take off that lower panel, the connector should be near the upper left corner of the fuse box.

The thing is, there is no connector under the dash. Previous owner took out the antenna and the connector that goes to the radio. Im trying to install a new antenna down the pillar but I dont know where the exit is under the dash..

Take it to a shop. This little task is beyond you. It's one of the easier installs you can do.

I do know the situation. I owned a 92 and a 93. I had to replace the antenna IN the 93. So I'm pretty damn sure I know how to install one and that it's about as easy a job as you can do on a Civic.

If you know it so WELL, why cant you just give a specific location as to where it is? Exactly.

I have at least half a dozen times. I can't help it if you don't know the parts of your car. It's blatantly obvious where you should be looking. Take it to a shop. Maybe get a mechanically inclined friend to help you since this is kicking your butt.

if you stick your head under the dash, there's a giant gaping hole where the antenna wire goes through. there's a foam block in there.
